Catholic Healthcare is excited to grow our allied health services for our Home and Communities clients. We are committed to empowering our clients to achieve better health outcomes and maintain their independence so they can remain in their homes as long as they wish.
Allied health professionals provide critical support to individuals on their path to better health and well-being. With expertise in physiotherapy and occupational health, other disciplines and allied health teams collaborate to provide comprehensive care.
For recent physiotherapy recruit Khoi Ung, the chance to undertake meaningful work in the Home and Communities’ space and within a multidisciplinary team is proving to be a career highlight.
‘I enjoy having the ability to empower and have a positive impact on clients' lives. This may include working towards their goals, such as improving their mobility, strength, and balance to continue to live independently and at home for as long as possible,’ said Khoi.
We are pleased to introduce you to our Allied Health team members who have joined us in the last 12 months.
‘Being a part of the Allied Health team is very fulfilling. I get to make a difference in people’s lives, to help them improve their independence and quality of life,’ said occupational therapist Sabrina Fischer.
‘I like that I can spend time with the clients to get to know them and also see their progression and improvement over time,’ she said.
For our clients, working with a member of the allied health team, even for a short period of time, is enough to give them the confidence and control to live independently.
Sabrina said of working for Catholic Healthcare, ‘The team is very nice, and we share ideas and knowledge with each other. Our manager, Erin Stubbs, is very supportive, especially of our professional development.’
