Code of Conduct for Aged Care
The Code of Conduct for Aged Care sets mandatory standards for ethical and professional behaviour in Australia’s aged care sector. Under the new Aged Care Act 2024, service providers have responsibilities to comply with the Code and to take reasonable steps to ensure that all aged care workers and governing persons comply with the Code.

Voluntary Assisted Dying
Catholic Healthcare has a governance structure including policies, procedures, and training for all workforce members, including volunteers and contractors. Catholic Healthcare will not impede a person from pursuing VAD or hinder access to information about VAD.

Safeguarding
Catholic Healthcare has introduced a safeguarding policy and approach. All employees are receiving safeguarding training and a safeguarding team has been established to support safeguarding risk assessment and mitigation, and to respond to questions or concerns about safeguarding.
