Laura, Home Care Services Client
Social interactions and meaningful friendships are important at every stage of life. At Catholic Healthcare, we understand how beneficial personal connections can be and how much of a positive impact they have on wellbeing. Whether it’s spending time with a community worker to do an activity through our companionship or social support services, or simply receiving a friendly visit or phone call from a volunteer, our programs are designed to help you stay social, supported, and independent.
To make the most of your time with a Community Worker, you can choose from a range of activities that suit your interests and lifestyle.
This might consist of activities such as:
- Having a cup of tea and a chat
- Going for a drive to the beach or taking a walk in the park
- Going shopping or doing gardening together
- Getting lessons on your smart device like an iPhone or iPad
Let us help you stay connected.

1. What is Home Care?
We understand there’s no place like home. That’s why we offer a wide range of in-home aged care services so you or your loved one can remain living independently at home. From making daily tasks easier with transport to the shops, cooking or cleaning to improving health and wellness, clinical services and more, we’re here to help you maintain your lifestyle at home for longer.
Home Care Services (also commonly referred to as in-home care) can be Government subsidised under either the Commonwealth Home Specific Programme (CHSP) for basic level care, or Support at Home program (formerly Home Care Packages) for multiple or more complex requirements. -
2. What will it cost?
The cost of aged care is different for every individual and is determined by the Australian Government based on your financial situation. Use the Support at Home fee estimator to see how much you may pay towards services in your own home.
