The hands featured in our Hands of Time project at Catholic Healthcare Bodington in Wentworth Falls have built homes, raised families, served communities, pursued passions, overcome challenges, and left lasting marks on the world.
Long before living at Bodington, each resident lived a rich and unique life shaped by countless experiences, memories and achievements.
When we first asked residents if we could photograph their hands, they were curious and a little puzzled about why we were doing it. But once the portraits appeared on the wall in the activity room, something special happened.
Residents began sharing stories and reflecting on the journeys those hands represented.
The project celebrates the lives, contributions and individuality of the people who call Bodington home.
Over the coming months, the team at Bodington hopes to capture the hands of all residents, creating a lasting tribute to the lives they have lived and the legacy they continue to share.
Every hand has a story, and every story deserves to be remembered. Because at Catholic Healthcare, you are seen, you are heard, you are known.
