Meet Allanna Thorley

At Catholic Healthcare we are shining a 'light' on our people and the exceptional work they are all doing across our services. We share how team members are innovating, engaging and helping to make Catholic Healthcare a great place to work.

This week, meet Allanna Thorley, Home & Community Services’ Business Manager and Care Advisor for the Sydney metro south region.

Allanna splits her time between mentoring Care Advisors, conducting training sessions, and sharing knowledge on how to best support clients to meet their care needs within the allocated government funding that is available.

“I need to be knowledgeable and adept with current government guidelines and Aged Care Quality Standards,” says Allanna.

“Working with Catholic Healthcare and meeting clients has shown me what ageing gracefully can look like. A challenge for many clients is navigating the Aged Care sector successfully. My team and I provide vital support, knowing which services are available. This will also help me when I need to access aged care support so I can stay as independent within the community for as long as possible.”

Allanna believes she needs to embody all Catholic Healthcare’s Values  - compassion, respect, honesty, hospitality and excellence - to effectively succeed in her work.

This was reinforced by Liam, Regional Manager for Home & Community Services, who recognised this special quality in Allanna.

“Allanna is a proactive and valuable leader in the southern Sydney region,” says Liam. “She very successfully leads a team of 14 Care Advisors and continually strives to deliver quality client care and services. She truly embodies Catholic Healthcare’s Home & Community Services mantra of Care Runs Deep.”
