Important update for ANZAC Day Public Holidays 2026

This year, ANZAC Day will be observed on Saturday, 25 April 2026. As a result, the NSW Government has declared an extra public holiday on Monday, 27 April 2026.

According to the Public Holidays Act 2010, ANZAC Day is always commemorated on 25 April each year and cannot be shifted, no matter which day of the week it falls on.

As per Catholic Healthcare’s Public Holiday Policy, all services on the ANZAC Day on Saturday, 25 April 2026 and Monday, 27 April 2026 will be managed based on your opted preference for services on a public holiday. If you are on a package (a Support at Home client), as per our Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) policy, all services for CHSP on these two days will be cancelled.

If you wish to reschedule or retain your services, simply let your Care Partner team know or use the Catholic Healthcare App to manage your services.

A reminder on how to manage your services in the Catholic Healthcare App

To manage your Home Care services on the Catholic Healthcare App, all you need to do is click on the Manage Services tile to view popular services and to request a service.
