A special ‘Little Acts of Kindness’ calendar, created specifically for Catholic Healthcare employees by our Mission team, has brought Christmas cheer to all.
It serves as a timely reminder that generosity is a gift that doesn’t need to be wrapped.
Beneath the tinsel, the reality is that not everyone feels festive this time of year. For many, the season can be lonely, and a small gesture or a polite smile might be all it takes to help them feel included and foster a sense of belonging.
This small calendar resonated deeply with Catholic Healthcare’s Community Team Leader, Meagan Beedle, in a very human way. It reminded her of the importance of connection for our clients in the community, a lesson learned long ago.
Earlier in the year, Meagan had the privilege of reconnecting with her beloved primary school teacher, who instilled in her a love of reading and stories.

One moment that struck a chord with Meagan was when her teacher took her class out after hours to watch the latest movie at the time, Ghostbusters.
‘Looking back, I now see it with fresh eyes; by giving us her time outside of school, she showed us that we truly mattered. This kind of connection can be felt regardless of how it is shared,’ Meagan said.
Today, this experience continues to inspire her to share motivational stories.
‘I share stories to encourage others to take time to create meaningful memories for our clients. This also fosters meaningful moments for us, and it creates a ripple effect with no limit,’ she said.
Let’s spread connection and Christmas cheer with residents, clients, employees, and loved ones!
