Running from 1-12 February 2023, the NSW Seniors Festival is the largest celebration for seniors in the southern hemisphere. The festival celebrates our seniors, aged 60 years and over, providing over 350 events, offering entertainment and engaging activities.
The NSW Seniors Festival has been running for more than 60 years and is a wonderful way to encourage older Australians to try something new, meet new people and have fun.
Catholic Healthcare organised four events, providing seniors the opportunity to try out the innovative mind+move program for free, for one day. The events were held at the wellness centres in Wahroonga, Warnervale, Dubbo and Casula.
Catholic Healthcare has been participating in the NSW Seniors Festival for several years, but 2023 proved to be the most successful year yet!

Across all weekdays, mind+move offers a diverse and exciting range of health and wellness activities, plus day trips to popular destinations. Online classes are also available if you prefer to stay connected at home.

Respite Care, Connecting With Others, Social, Wellness and Respite Centres
Research has shown that engaging in play promotes engagement and stimulates cognitive activity, which can improve quality of life for people living with dementia. This is the reason behind our introduction of Tovertafel at four Catholic Healthcare our Social, Wellness and Respite Centres, two of which provide social support and day respite for people living with dementia.
