Care Runs Deep - Meet Annette

With the inspiration for Care Runs Deep coming from our dedicated staff, the Home and Community Services team ran a competition, asking staff what Care Runs Deep means to them.

The top 10 responses each won a $50 gift card. One of the winners was Annette Cullen, Community Worker, Northern Sydney region (pictured below).

“Care Runs Deep at Catholic Healthcare because we as an organisation understand our clients,” says Annette, “We understand they want their independence at home, and we are there to provide the necessary support.”

Annette joined Catholic Healthcare 10 years ago and has served hundreds of clients over this time. Annette provides personal care, transport and cleaning services, shopping assistance and social support.

“My clients range in age from 65 years to 94 years. They all live at home and on their own. What I enjoy most is working one-to-one with my clients. They are all different but have in common the need for some extra help, allowing them to remain independent at home.

“Care Runs Deep is the truth of how I live my life, it’s what inspires me. I’m a genuine person and I care about my clients. No matter what I am doing for them, I put my heart into my work.”
