Catholic Healthcare are pleased to invite you to participate in the ‘Stepping On’ Programs across NSW all year round!
- This is an evidence-based program that is effective and proven to reduce falls in older people over the age of 65 who are living in the community.
- The program consists of 7 sessions held once a week over 7 weeks. To gain the most benefits it’s recommended to attend the entire program.
- Each session consists of exercises, falls prevention and health maintenance information.
- The program incorporates strategies to implement positive lifestyle changes to keep you independent, upright, and active.
- Stepping On reduces falls by 31% in the community.
Note: The participant would need to be registered with “My Aged Care” so that they can access the program. Numbers of attendees are strictly limited so please book in early to avoid disappointment. My Aged Care referral is required and we will assist you obtain this when you register (fees may apply if you have a Home Care Package).

Program Eligibility
- People aged 65+ years, or Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders aged 55+ years, who have a fear of falling or have had recent falls.
- Participants must live at home.
- Participants must be able to walk independently, or with a walking stick.
- Stepping On is not suitable for people with moderate to advanced memory loss or certain progressive neurological conditions.
The participant must be all willing to register with My Aged Care.
Note: Upon registration, we will assist the participant with this process.
