WHO IS IT FOR?

If you are aged 65+ (50+ IF Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander) and have a tendency to accumulate excessive items or find it difficult to part with them, then this program is for you. You do not need to be an existing Catholic Healthcare client to attend. You do not need to be formally assessed as having a hoarding disorder in order to attend. Our staff will assist you with registering for Government funding under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) if you haven’t done so already.

WHO RUNS THE PROGRAM?

The program is facilitated by specialist case manager who is experienced in supporting people with hoarding disorder.

CAN I DROP IN/PULL OUT AT ANY TIME?

Each week you’ll be building on your skills and learning something new, so to get the most out of it we recommend attending consistently over the 15 weeks.

However, we do understand that sometimes life can get in the way. If you are unable to attend a session due to other commitments, it may be possible to attend another day, please talk to the program Facilitator for assistance

WHAT ABOUT MY PRIVACY, IS IT CONFIDENTIAL?

Just like any other support group program, it is a confidential and respectful environment. Your personal information will not be shared with others, unless you choose to do so. At the beginning of the course, we will also establish and agree together, as a group, the way in which we would like the program to be run.
