We offer a great range of employee benefits

What we can offer you

We are committed to making Catholic Healthcare a Great Place to Work. As a demonstration of this commitment, we offer a range of great employee benefits.

Like you, we value flexibility

We understand that flexible work options are important to you and likewise we certainly value flexible people. So, with most of our care services operating 24-hours a day, seven days a week, we offer a wide range of full time, part time and casual working options across our organisation.

With aged care career opportunities across 52 different work locations in New South Wales and Queensland, as well as others in the community, we can help you find the best balance between your lifestyle and career aspirations.

Your health and family are important

Whether it be to rest and recharge your batteries or spend time with your family (or a new family member), we offer a range of great leave benefits to support you, this includes:

  • Purchase extra Annual Leave
  • Long Service Leave at 5 years
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Family Leave

As we grow, so can your career

We support and promote internal career moves across and through our organisation. This offers an opportunity for our people to learn and gain experience in all aspects of our organisation, and is one of the many reasons why our people have established long and fruitful careers with us.

Working as a part of a large growing organisation means that we can offer a wide range of career opportunities in many locations in metropolitan and regional areas. We understand that as your life circumstances change (like moving to a new house), your work circumstances may also need to move with you.

We work to make transferring to different parts of our organisation as seamless as possible, and often we can offer new opportunities that more closely match your work/life balance needs.

Never stop learning

The world around us is ever-evolving, and so is the way that we deliver on our commitment to Aged Care and Service excellence.

For this reason, we understand that ongoing education is important, and we’re committed to providing practical, meaningful learning opportunities for our people from induction, through clinical and onto leadership development areas both online and in person.

We also offer an annual Scholarship Program to support our people in the pursuit of their education outside our organisation.

Tax and Salary Packaging Benefits

As a not-for-profit organisation, we can offer generous salary packaging benefits for our people that can’t be provided by for-profit employers. As a Catholic Healthcare employee, you can pay your rent, mortgage, school fees or other living costs through your pre-tax salary up to the value of $15,900 per year (less for Healthcare employees).

In addition to this, you can also salary package other items such as parking costs, additional super contributions and novated car leases over and above this amount.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

From time to time some of us need advice or counsel on how to deal with a personal issue or challenge. Our EAP provides employer paid access to counselling services delivered by a professional external provider. A strong values-based work experience where you can make a genuine difference in the lives of others

When you work with us:

Working in an industry that’s dedicated to the care of older people in our community can be hard work, but it’s also deeply satisfying and highly rewarding.

When you work with us, you have an opportunity to be part of an organisation that places high value on Respect, Compassion, Honesty, Hospitality and Excellence.

What if you could make a difference and be truly valued for it?
