What is Inspirit?
At Catholic Healthcare, we believe every older person deserves to live well and age well — wherever they call home. That’s why we’ve developed the Inspirit model of care: a holistic, relationship-centred approach that puts the individual first.
Inspirit reflects dignity, choice, and compassion, and aligns with our Mission and Value. It is shaped by best practice and evidence across the aged care sector. It’s about moving away from a one-size-fits-all model and creating personalised care that honours each person’s rights, preferences, and unique life journey.
We’re proud to lead the way in delivering aged care that is not only innovative but also deeply human. With Inspirit, Catholic Healthcare is setting a new standard — one that places older people at the heart of everything we do.
Our promise: You’re first, regardless. |
How does Inspirit look like in practice?
Inspirit is more than a model of care — it’s a way of being. It’s about truly seeing the person behind the care plan and supporting each individual in living the life they choose, with dignity, purpose and joy.
With a focus on holistic, relationship-centred care, we take the time to get to know you — your story, your needs, your aspirations. Everything we do is guided by a deep commitment to your independence, wellbeing and connection.

Why are we introducing the Inspirit model of care?
Aged care in Australia is changing — and so are the needs, expectations, and preferences of older people. We believe it’s time for a new approach. One that’s personal, proactive, and built for the future.
That’s why we’ve introduced Inspirit — our new model of care that places older people at the centre, supporting them to live well and age well, wherever they call home.
Responding to a growing need
Australia’s ageing population is rising rapidly. By 2050, the number of people aged 65 to 84 is expected to double — and those over 85 will more than quadruple. Inspirit ensures we’re ready to meet this growing demand with care that is flexible, scalable, and always focused on the individual.
Honouring choice and independence
Today, more older Australians are choosing to remain in their homes for as long as possible — even when additional support is needed. Inspirit is designed to support that choice, with care that empowers people to live independently, safely, and with dignity.
Supporting national reform
From 2025, the aged care sector will see significant reform, including a new rights-based Aged Care Act and strengthened Quality Standards. Inspirit aligns with these changes — putting human rights, autonomy, and person-centred care at the heart of everything we do.
Tackling loneliness with real connection
Around 1 in 5 older Australians experience social isolation. Inspirit is built on the power of relationships — fostering genuine connection, purpose, and belonging. Because we believe care is about more than just tasks — it’s about being seen, heard and known.
Leading with compassion and innovation
Our former care model, Enrich, no longer meets the evolving needs of older Australians. Inspirit reflects a new chapter — one that’s deeply human, forward-thinking, and grounded in Catholic Healthcare’s values.
With Inspirit, we’re not just keeping up with change — we’re leading it.
