Catholic Healthcare has received development approval for their planned residential aged care site in Eastern Heights, Ipswich.
“This is an exciting time for Catholic Healthcare as we look forward to being able to provide additional aged care services to the residents of Ipswich,” said General Manager Residential Care, Anne Maree Hodgson.
“This new development will offer a state-of-the-art residential aged care service, a health and wellness centre, onsite respite and community support services for seniors, together with specially designed spaces for people living with dementia.”
This new $15million development will provide accommodation for 100 aged care residents, 60 of which will be additional spaces for Ipswich’s ageing population and 40 will be allocated to current Villa Maria residents, who will be relocated from their current location.
Construction is scheduled to commence in mid to late 2016 with an estimated completion date of late 2017.
