It was celebrations all round when McQuoin Park Residential Aged Care Home was awarded the Catholic Healthcare Home of the Year for 2020.

McQuoin Park, located in Wahroonga, was selected out of 41 Homes nationally after achieving outstanding results in 2020, including excellent feedback from residents and families, high staff engagement and consistent quality care.

Andrew Kinkade, General Manager, Residential Care, said; “The team at McQuoin Park should feel very proud of what they have achieved this year, particularly against the backdrop of 2020.

“The Home has kept everyone safe and has received consistent positive feedback from residents, families and staff. The team have built an outstanding reputation serving the local community on the north shore.”

Andrew shared some of the recent feedback, including a wonderful quote from one of the residents, “I don't think you could be in a better place at the age of 99 years”.

Julie Farquhar, Residential Manager, was delighted to receive the Award and acknowledged her entire team at McQuoin Park.

“This Award is for the whole team,” says Julie. “We all work together and that is what has made us Home of the Year.”

Julie presented some additional staff awards and particularly thanked Franco Tatad, Deputy Residential Manager; and Musette Healey, Quality and Education Manager.

McQuoin Park also offers retirement living and community care services. The McQuoin Park Retirement Living Village recently opened with 88 new apartments along with a range of amenities for residents.
