Catholic Healthcare is delighted to announce that its development application for a new residential aged care service in Maroubra has been approved.

Catholic Healthcare’s General Manager of Property, Michael Lockwood said, “This is an exciting time for us and will enable the development of modern, integrated person-centred aged care services for the local residents of Maroubra and its neighbouring areas.”

The new development will include the construction of 108 resident places and 56 retirement living units with a range of shared amenities that will be enjoyed by residents, their families and the broader community. This will include a Chapel, café, a health and wellness centre, a pool and gym, a cinema, a home care cub and other activity and lifestyle spaces.

“Catholic Healthcare is committed and focused on creating much needed additional services in Maroubra and the surrounding eastern suburbs of Sydney for a growing ageing population.

As an organisation we continue to grow and expand our services for seniors and the community in New South Wales as the demand for aged care and retirement living increases,” added Lockwood.

Construction is scheduled to commence in 2020. Pictured is an artist's impression of the new development.
