Here’s a quick and easy, healthy and tasty breakfast recipe to kick-start a cold winter’s day.
French Toast provides protein from the egg and milk and can be enjoyed with a portion of fruit.
|Ingredients||1 Serve||2 Serve|
|Milk||3 tablespoons||1/4 cup|
|Cinnamon||1/4 teaspoon||1/2 teaspoon|
|Vanilla Essence||1/4 teaspoon||1/2 teaspoon|
|Wholemeal/wholegrain toast bread||2 slices||4 slices|
1. Crack eggs into a large bowl. Use a fork to whisk in milk, cinnamon and vanilla.
2. Heat a frying pan over a medium heat. Add oil if required.
3. Dip each slice of bread into egg mixture until coated on both sides. Place into pan.
4. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and bread separates from the pan.
Serving Suggestion: Serve with fresh fruit or fruit compote.
