The ladies at Brush Park Bowling Club are turning into the feistiest fighters in Sydney’s North-West, after taking up boxing classes with their weekly Day Therapy Centre (DTC) exercise program in the past few weeks.

The members of the Brush Park Bowling Club in Eastwood have been enjoying a weekly program in collaboration with Catholic Healthcare’s DTC for the past 12 months. After completing the popular Stepping On: Falls Prevention program, the ladies have now commenced boxing for fitness.

Initially a little unsure, the ladies were hooked at the first session, enjoying both the physical effort and the mental concentration required in this high action activity.

Feeling strong and empowered, the ladies are truly experiencing the benefits of a boxing workout. Boxing for fitness is an excellent way to improve hand-eye coordination, full-body strength and cardiovascular health.
