ANZAC Day Message from Catholic Healthcare
24 Apr 2020
Therese Adami, General Manager Home and Community Services, shares a heartfelt video message in recognition of ANZAC Day tomorrow, 25 April. The video was shared with all Home Care clients yesterday. Click here to view the video.
On behalf of Catholic Healthcare, we want to thank all who have served Australia and those who have supported friends and family in the defence forces, in the past, present and future.
There’s no doubt tomorrow will be very different to ANZAC Days of previous years. While we will not be gathering at services and marches, there are still ways we can acknowledge this Day.
ABC TV will be broadcasting the Dawn Service from the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, from 5:30am. There will also be a 10am closed service from Sydney being broadcasted on the ABC. Both services will be live streamed on the RSL NSW Facebook page.
Australians are also being encouraged by the RSL – at 6am – to light up the dawn. We are being encouraged to stand in our driveways, on our balconies or in our living room to hear The Ode and The Last Post played on the ABC radio and share a one-minute silence together.
We know this can be a stressful time. Self-isolating can be hard. So reach out to a friend or family member if you need to. Or perhaps you have a friend who could use some support. Our mates, our friendship, our family, at this time are more important than ever.
We are also here to help. Please be assured, you are not alone.
If you need support or assistance, please call us on 1800 225 474.
Lest we forget.
