Catholic Healthcare was delighted to welcome representatives from PBS Building to its Macquarie Park offices, to officially sign a new construction contract for the Stage 1 development of St Hedwig Village in Blacktown.

Stage 1 of the project includes the development of 72 new Retirement Living units over four levels consisting of one studio apartment, 10 one-bedroom apartments, 35 two-bedroom apartments, and 26 three-bedroom apartments. Integrated community amenities including activities and multifunctional rooms are also part of the development, along with new landscaping of outdoor community areas.

St Hedwig Village joined the Catholic Healthcare family in February 2020. At the time David Maher, Managing Director said, “Our Catholic Healthcare Mission speaks of ‘promoting life in all its fullness’, and we will continue the works of St Hedwig Village in the spirit of compassionate care, providing aged care services that respond to community need.”

Construction of the Stage 1 development will commence in January 2021 with a completion date of June 2022.
