Julia Abrahams

Director of Mission, Chief Counsel

Julia Abrahams is an experienced legal professional and named as one of the top 12 In-house Legal Counsel in Health and Aged Care Law in Australia 2017. Julia has an Honours degree in Law and started her career at  Freehils (now Herbert Smith Freehills)a leading law firm, Julia is  Chief Counsel of  Catholic Healthcare and a frequent presenter and chair at conferences relating to health, aged and community services law.

Julia also holds a Masters of Arts degree in Theology from the Sydney College of Divinity and is Catholic Healthcare’s  Director of Mission. Julia sits on the Catholic Health Australia Mission and Identity Committee and  is a co-author of a number of articles and publications relating to Mission and Catholic organisations including a  “Guide for the Understanding of the Governance of Catholic Health and Aged Care Services.”
