Mr Hugh O’Reilly
Hugh O’Reilly was elected as a Trustee of Catholic Healthcare on 25 November, 2014.
Hugh was formerly Financial Administrator for the Diocese of Bathurst until his retirement in July 2013 after 25 years of employment with the Diocese.
During his employment with the Diocese, Hugh held the position of Manager of the Catholic Development Fund from 1991 until 2000. Hugh also held the position of Secretary, Diocesan Finance Committee and in 2001 was appointed as the inaugural Financial Administrator of the Diocese.
Hugh was also a member of a number of Diocesan Advisory Councils and Committees including Centacare Advisory Board, the Catholic Development Fund Board, the Catholic Education Council, the Clergy Remuneration and Retirement Plan Board and various Sub-committees of those bodies. For over ten years, Hugh was the Chair of the Diocesan School Capital Works Fund and in the latter part of his career, Chair of the Committee established to oversight the restoration of St Michael and St John’s Cathedral in Bathurst. As Diocesan Financial Administrator, Hugh was also the Executive Officer to the Diocesan Finance Council.
Hugh was formerly a Trustee of Catholic Healthcare from 1997 to 2002 and the member’s representative for the Diocese of Bathurst from July 2002 until 2013. While the Member’s Representative for the Diocese of Bathurst, Hugh also served on the Members and Trustees Joint Nomination Committee.
