The new St Catherine's
After 50 years at Busby Street, St Catherine’s is relocating to Gorman’s Hill Road in early 2017. This new state-of-the-art development will see the merge of Catholic Healthcare’s St Vincent’s Residential Aged Care and St Catherine’s Aged Care in Bathurst.
At the heart of the development is Catholic Healthcare’s homely residential service, with a health and wellness centre, library, hair salon and a number of spacious dining and living areas. Our specialised dementia space will include safe and secure outdoor walking areas and courtyards.
This 130 private room residential aged care service will form part of an integrated aged care campus, offering a range of community care and healthcare services.
The new St Catherine’s will be a state-of-the-art service with picturesque gardens.
Feel right at home
The tastefully decorated spacious rooms will feature private ensuite bathrooms, with some including access to the lovely outdoor courtyards and gardens.
We encourage you to feel at home and decorate the room with your personal items.
You will also enjoy the diverse range of engaging activities, exercise and social programs, and seating areas nestled among the secure gardens.
Our onsite hairdresser and beauty salon, library, café, chapel, activity rooms and wellness centre, will offer a range of lifestyle choices.
Our various indoor and outdoor gathering spaces will be perfect for relaxing and socialising, with family and friends.

Your lifestyle, your care
Live your life
We believe in creating a sense of community and inclusion, fostering independence and encouraging participation in events and activities that promote personal satisfaction and fulfilment.
An extensive range of leisure and lifestyle programs will be available, from local day trips and social activities, to personalised art and music therapy programs.
Five star comfort food
Our philosophy of ‘Five Star Comfort Food’ looks to focus on presentation as much as nutrition. We know that the kitchen is the heart of the home and our rural hospitality is first class. All meals will be approved by dietitians, and prepared and cooked fresh on site by our local culinary team.
Family and friends
This will be your home and we welcome your family and friends to visit 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
We also welcome friends of the four paw variety to come and say hello.
Holistic, person-centred care approach and new techology
Our qualified registered nursing team will be on onsite providing 24/7 care.
We will also use the latest technology, which is designed to increase the quality of your care, your comfort and your independence.
