Residents of Wahroonga's newest aged care service moved into their new rooms this week, taking with them memories, tokens and even physical pieces of the original service they were residing in prior to the move.

McQuoin Park Aged Care Service officially opened to the public Saturday 14 October, after more than a year in construction of a new, state-of-the-art development for 122 residents.

66 residents moved into the service on Tuesday 24 October, enjoying newly-built private rooms with en-suites, an on-site café and a traditional chapel featuring icons taken from the original service.

With the help of corporate staff, nurses and carers, residents were made to feel right at home in the new McQuoin Park. Family members also joined residents on their journey a mere 200 metres away, setting up their new rooms and enjoying the first of many celebrations to come.

Private tours of McQuoin Park are available to the public by appointment.
