Learn more about a career in community work
24 Oct 2016
CATHOLIC Healthcare is hosting a number of information sessions to help highlight a career in community work, and show you how you can make a difference in someone else's life.
Community workers are warm, caring and friendly people who support others living in their own home by providing domestic duties, transport, personal care and companionship.
Duties can include shopping, transporting clients to medical appointments (in your vehicle), assisting clients to shower and dress, house-hold duties and participating in social activities.
If this sounds like a rewarding career, we can offer you the benefits of working locally, with flexible hours and a competitive rate of pay. You'll also get on-the-job training, long service leave after just five years, and salary packaging that gives you genuine tax savings.
Not only that, we'll give you a uniform, smart phone, data plan and excellent career opportunities.
Information sessions will be held on Tuesday October 25 at Normanhurst at 1pm and 6pm (Queen of Peace Church Hall, 18 Stuart Ave, Normanhurst), and on Wednesday October 26 at Surry Hills at 1pm and 6pm (Catholic Community Services, 180 Albion St, Surry Hills).
Additional information sessions will also be held Thursday October 27 at 1pm and 6pm at Catholic Healthcare's corporate headquarters in Macquarie Park (Suite 1, Level 5, 15 Talavera Rd, Macquarie Park), and on Friday October 28 at Croydon at 1pm and 6pm (The Brighton, 17-23 Croydon Ave, Croydon).
Simply come along to a session that suits you (or pre-register here). For more information, you can also call Donna Maree on 0413 751 040.
