St Augustine's Aged Care is a high care residential aged community catering for 51 residents, including a specialised 11-bed dementia care area. There are six double rooms, six three-share rooms and 39 single rooms. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms.

Supported by very caring staff and a dedicated spiritual care co-ordinator, St Augustine's promotes a homelike environment, social relationships, privacy and independence for all of its residents.

Its gardens and social facilities provide a sense of welcome and inclusion for residents and their families. A varied activities program ensures much enjoyment for residents.

St Augustine's is accredited by the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency.

St Augustine's is currently undergoing refurbishment works to upgrade two existing wings to allow the introduction of low care services. The refurbishment works plan to finish in June 2008.

History

Built in 1982, St Augustine's was extended and renovated to its current size in 1998. A dedicated palliative care room was added in August 2006 enabling resident and family accommodation.

Transport

St Augustine's is close to the main centre of town however there is no direct bus service to the residential community. Taxis can drop off at the front entrance.
