Housing Support
I am looking for support with housing and maintaining my tenancy
Many older people and individuals who experience disability or disadvantage can face barriers to obtaining and maintaining their home and tenancy. This, alongside the shortage of affordable accommodation means the demand for support with housing issues is growing.
Catholic Healthcare provides a variety of Housing Support Services that aim to meet the needs of individuals who are experiencing housing associated concerns; are currently or are at risk of experiencing homelessness due to a variety of factors.
These services include provision of transitional housing; support applying for, securing and maintaining public or community housing, assistance with removal arrangements and resettlement, support in improving living conditions, advocacy, liaison and linkages with relevant community and health agencies and on-going client-centred case management to prevent homelessness or risk of losing tenancy.
The services recognise the importance of having a secure, safe and comfortable home; and work alongside individuals in a supportive and empowering way to ensure that those who are having difficulty accessing both accommodation and support are provided with the appropriate level of assistance.
