11 Seniors living units

Casey Court is located in close proximity to the Catholic Church and within easy walking distance to the city centre of Coffs Harbour.

The community comprises 11 two-bedroom units; six on ground level, four on level two and one on level three. The units are designed around a large central space, linked by a flight of stairs. The central space allows residents on the lower level to drive into their garages, but also functions as an all-weather courtyard and architectural feature that ties the buildings together. All common areas are well maintained.

Each unit is approximately 100 square metres in area. They are designed to be as similar as possible to a family home, while still having special features such as rounded or curved bench tops and doors wide enough for wheelchairs.

There is ample lighting throughout the grounds and outdoor areas to ensure resident safety and security. All windows and doors have security locks, while front doors have peepholes.

History

Casey Court is named after the long-serving parish priest Father Anthony Casey in recognition of his contribution to the parish. Construction began on these units in July 1992 and was completed in February 1993. They were first occupied in March 1993.
